Vombsjön
Vomsbjön and its surroundings is a popular destination. The lake
is an important bird lake. In the lake are fishings activities, at
Kävlingeån are fish for sale. South of
Övedskloster in the east there is a bathing area. The lake is a
source of drinking water for Malmö.
Badplatsen
a nice rather secluded beach on the
eastern Vombsjön
Borstbäcken
a deciduous wooded stream valley to
the north of the lake Vombsjön. Here was the Battle of Borst 1644,
'färsingarnas blood colored the brook red'.
Frualid
east of Öved church is a hill of volcanic origin, with a steep
wooded side to the lake Vassen.
Landskapsparken
restored wetlands and parks. Names such as Royal Path, Swiss House,
Philosophical Path. White deers.
Nordost
on Lake Vombsjön, walk on path on abandoned railway,
below a slope with beautiful deciduous forest.

Sjögårdens kaffestuga
along Road 104 north of Vombsjön in an old house. Coffee
served in brass scan, waffles, cakes. Small shop with various things.
Vassen
behind Öved church is the rest
of a volcanic crater, Frualid, with a nice view of Vombsjön. Below
Frualid is the lake Vassen.
Vombs fure
is a coniferous forest area south of Vombsjön. Pine
forest was planted during the 1800s to prevent the sand drain, which was
due to the land being overused.
Vomb meadows
along Klingavälsån, in the west between
Krankesjön and Vombsjön. The meadows are at times under water
and is a paradise for birds and bird interested. It is banned to enter the
meadows throughout the year, but the bird observation towers and hill Öbacken west
of the meadows give good views.
West
Vombsjön
handicap adapted observation tower overlooking the meadows west of
the lake and part of the lake, with picnic table, and a simple
beach. Otherwise, the shore is rugged along the lake.
Äskebäskan
is a steep slope at the shore of the lake Vombsjön at the
southeast corner. On the slope grows
deciduous forest, below is a marsh. The area is designated to be
preserved, including forever trees.
Övedskloster
castle east of Vombsjön. The park is open to the public. To the casle leads a beautiful avenue.
Öved
East of the lake is Övedskloster, the park is open to the public,
with a beautiful avenue to the palace. Behind Öved church is the rest
of a volcanic crater, Frualid, with a nice view of Vombsjön. Below
is Frualid is the lake Vassen.
Häljasjö is a relic from the Ice Age, a
'dödishåla'. It is a popular fishing and swimming lake. At the
village Vomb is Bysjön, also a relic from the Ice Age.
