Liarumsängen
at Liarum situated just northeast of Linderöd. This is a beautiful meadow in spring flaunts and then is worth a botanical visit.

2001 I was on an excursion to Liarumsängen. Just north of Linderödsåsen on Linderödsåsen. The meadow is beautifully situated on south slope of a valley. Diverges from the E22 where a sign points toward Liarum. A narrow curvy road goes down the valley and then up toward Liarum. Where the sign Liarum remains is something like a parking.

A rickety stile leading into the meadow. You have to be careful where you put your feet. Full of orchids and other flowers. What I do know is the meadow grazed after midsummer. It is now to be here.

Strolling around. At the houses up in the village the fence is gone. Adjacent roadside bloom Catchfly. A beautiful stand of quaking grass. Otherwise, arnica, hardy geraniums, orchids, Ragged-Robin. A beautiful stone to have as lunch table.

There are actually two meadows. Follow the road down to the valley to meadow number two. A little different flora than the first. Common Milkwort, sorrel, Devil's-bit Scabious, Dropwort, Selfheal. An orchid has found a place among a stock of horsetail. Of course other orchids.

Inside the meadow is a deciduous forest. Between the meadows is a power line corridor. Returning to the meadow one through it. Wet and tussocks, easier to walk in the woods.

Discovers that among the foliage at the park is a sign. The meadows are private and grazed after midsummer. Be careful not to trample the flowers.
