Turn east of the road (road 113) between Gårdstånga and Eslöv, just after Gårdstånga. Take off directly north on a gravel road. Is soon at the parking lot to Skeglinge church ruin. Large beautiful trees stand today on the site where Skeglinge small towerless church was built in the 12th century. When Skeglinge and Borlunda churches became too small, a new one was built in Borlunda. In the 1870s, Skeglinge church was demolished. Later in the 1950s, work was done on the old cemetery and the site of the church was marked with stones. A longhouse, porch, choir with apse. Different entrances for men and women In the apse, a tree stump stands as an altar. On the east side there are several old tombstones, most of them unreadable. On one can read: Ola Nilsson (1785 - 1867) with wife Hanna Nilsdotter (1793-1880). In the southeast corner is a belfry, it is modern from the 1960s, but the bell is the one that was in the original belfry. The cemetery is surrounded by a stone wall. The chestnuts are in full bloom. A tree with red leaves that resembles a maple must be a blood maple. Beautifully. Fine tree trunks. There is an information sign in metal with a text about the church. A beautiful place.
