Lund-Märgelgraven-Photo album

at Klosterängshöjden.

18 May 2010: On the slopes of Klosterängshöjden, towards the highway, has a large flower bed with tulips been built. They should be blooming now. Is there on an evening stroll. The tulips are blooming in full swing. Do not think there are many of the thosewho pass on the highway is noting the bloom. Goes further up and visit the ironbulls, they do look a little worn out today. Continuing down the slope towards märgelgraven. Also the rapeseed field is soon in full bloom.

5/1 2010: A cloudy day. Light snowfall. Walk a small round to look for cats. Does not see any cat. Take pictures of graffiti, mostly scribble. Visit again my marl moat. Studying bird tracks in the snow on the ice. A guy is sweeping the ice in the pond beyond it. Perhaps it is possible to go skating on it. I'm freezing. Goes home. Do me a mug of hot chocolate.

3/1 2010: Wobble out into the beautiful weather. Not wobble because of New Year celebrations but because of a nasty virus. Will be a short trip up the nearby artificial hill Klosterängshöjden. Studying the art of frozen puddles. Climb to the most recent peak of the hills. Have a view towards the  houses of Ridfogden and Ladugårdsmarken. Visit my marl moat. It is entirely frozen. In the ice is a formation that resembles a neuron with dendrites and axons. I'm freezing. Go home. Do me a mug of hot chocolate.

1/2 2009: I now and then visit 'my' marl moat (the place where one took marl as fertiilizer for soils). Previously it was isolated in the field, the visits were then mostly in the winter when you could walk or ski on the fields. Nowadays, a pedestrian and cycle path bypass it. It is snowing slightly and it blows a cool wind from east. The trees around it nod in recognition to me when I come. The water is frozen on it. I think it is beautiful and it is relaxing to stand here and chat with it. North of the cycle path, is there still farm land. I walk out on it and look west. Here one once could se the fields and a farm house, Klostersängsgården, now it is a residential area. In the south is a hill made of soil removed when constructing houses and roads, Klosterängshöjden, which is to be made into a recreational area. Stripes from the hill goes down towards the marl moat. It has been dug from the marl a stream down to a pond. I walk up on the top of Klosterängshöjden to visit the Spanish fighting bulls. The bulls were part of a Spanish week many years ago, they finally ended up here. I think they are rather fine. Somebody has carved his name on them. A raptor hover high up. I leave the height and goes down into the 'forest' below, which is about 20 years old. It is chaotic and cut down trees are lying on the ground. I force myself out of the wood at the pond where the creek from the marl arrive.
