We pass Tottarp and take the opportunity to look inside the church.
Originally from the 12th century but it has been rebuilt a number of times,
the latest from about 1850 by C G Brunius.
In the armory hangs a medieval altarpiece,
its medieval paintings have been destroyed and
it has instead received 18th century paintings.
On the table under the altarpiece is a guestbook.
On the northern chancel wall hangs a triumphal crucifix from the 15th century.
The altar piece is of a later date,
the latter part of the 19th century, with paintings by Fredrik Krebs.
The pulpit and pews are also from that time.
In front of the altar ring is a beautiful carpet.
At the sides of the altar are decorative red draperies.
We sign in the guest book and go out to the cemetery.
There are some older tombstones in the cemetery.
To the northwestern part of the cemetery are two houses close to each other,
Ryttarehuset in the west and Ringarehuset in the east.
Ryttarehuset was built in 1791 by the four rust keepers in the village.
Two kestrel chicks sit up in one of the tower's windows.
We drive to Tirup's herb garden for lunch, but it is completely full.
Further to Torna Hällestad's country store, there is room there.
