Parks the car in the car park outside Dalby on the road towards Torna Hällestad. Red campion blooms by the parking lot. Walk along the road to the cycle path towards Torna Hällestad to visit Dalby pasture. Once there, we are met by a herd of cows in the pasture. Have not seen them there on the north side of the bike path before. Don't feel like walking around among them. Go back and visit Klockarelyckan instead. Now a nature reserve. Cross the country road and follow the cycle path towards Dalby. A path leads in to the left. Last time overgrown, now at the beginning of May the grass has not yet grown tall. Follow the path to the stile into the pasture. Violets bloom in there. The birches shine in green. Out in the field, orchids are blooming. See no sign of heath spotted-orchid, no leaves and too early for them to flower yet. There should be many here. Strolling around the field. Some Pyramidal bugle. A little wet, gets completely muddy on the shoes. Water avens and hawk's beard. Sat us down for coffee at a hackberry. Almond blossom and seed stands of pasqueflower. At the stile, pollen from spruce smokes in the wind. Helping it. Take the other path out, through the open ground, past apple blossoms and onto the cycle path. Where we are joined by a cat.

Parks the car in the car park outside Dalby on the road towards Torna Hällestad. Where the cycle path runs between Dalby and Torna Hällestad. Cross the country road and follow the cycle path towards Dalby. There lies Klockarlyckan just east of the village. It is proposed to become a nature reserve. It was already decided in 2017 but the decision was forgotten. Now it's on again. Consists mainly of pastures. Most interesting is supposed to be a few square meters with hundreds of heath spotted-orchid. They are the ones we want to find today.

Passing some houses. Then there is open land on the left side. Going in there. Common milkwort blooms in the grass. Follows the edge up to two stiles at the corner. After that, we are in front of the field where we think the orchids should be. It's been haymaking, we're too late. Finds few orchids, but no heath spotted-orchid. Visiting a small marsh. Lots of cottongrass, can't tell the difference between different types of cottongrass. Returns to the opening before the cycle path. Lots of timothy. It is hot. Coffee on a stone.
