Head east on E65.
Miss the exit to Börringe Village where the church ruin is located.
Turn around at Börringe and drive back.
Turns towards the village. Oops! Prohibited traffic for unauthorized people!
So how do you get there? To visit the church ruin is probably fine.
Drive in. Drive through a fine avenue, turning left after the houses.
There the church ruin lies among some trees.
Park on a lawn between the wall and dirt road.
Snowdrops and Winter Aconite . The church was built in the 1100s.
It was demolished after the merger of Norra Börringe and Lemmeströ
(which is also a ruin). A new church was built.
The church consisted of long houses, choir and absides,
with a tower to the west. Today, some thick stone walls remain.
Therein is some rubbish. In the ground,
where it was in the middle of the longhouse, is a tombstone.
It is not possible to read any text,
but on the information sign it says that here is Else Brade buried.
Anno 1587. It blows cold. Children look in wonder at our visit,
perhaps not so common. The cultural trail and the Baltic Sea trail pass here.
When examining the church, one could determine the size
and found tombstones that are not visible here now.
Take the same road back. Maybe you should take the narrow gravel
road that runs along the E65 to Börringe?
