Have been to Åberg's garden & café outside Ystad to shop and have lunch. Drive on the way home past Bjäresjö church. Park by the church. There is a triangular runestone in granite with a cut-off top. In my book about Scanian rune stones it says that it is in the cemetery wall. But it now stands on the south side of the church tower, where it moved in 1994. The runes were probably carved 970-1020 according to an information board by the parking lot. The stone is mentioned in 1627 when it sat in the cemetery wall, even then it had the top of. Part of the rune line is missing because the top is missing, one think what is missing is the word 'this'.

The text of the runestone reads:
Kåre put (this?) Stone after Olfun (?) / Alfwin (?)

There are two other Bjäresjö stones, one standing outside Kulturen in Lund, the other in the park to nearby Bergsjöholm's castle.
