Drive south from Södra Rörum past Häglinge towards Sösdala.
Just after Häglinge is a stone age grave field.
Sets the car on its parking.
On the other side of the road is a dirt road, follow it.
In a crossing straight ahead. Before a house to the left on a narrow road.
A sign warns of loose bull. Ignore it.
There are still none this year.
The road ends at a small nice house.
The road gets narrower, hardly a road anymore.
More a path that continues up on Lönnebjär.
For about 100-200 million years ago, an active volcano.
Today a peaceful deciduous hill.
The traces of the volcano remain as a large number of basalt cliffs.
At the beginning of the path large blocks.
When the lava solidified, it burst into five-six angular columns.
On one grows Polypody. Walking around in the forest.
Finds several blocks. You have to walk around looking,
they are scattered over the hill.
Memorial stones from another time. Going up to the top.
Beautiful view of a pasture. On the top there are tables and a wagon.
What now it does here? There is also a large stone pile,
the lava rock used for burial mounds?
Adjacent are several basalt formations.
Feels right to visit the volcano before all
the greenery begins to hide the formations.
Don't meet any people.
The next day is a report on TV about volcanoes in Skåne from this place.
Going back to the burial ground. Drink coffee among the stones.
