Just south of Bäckaskog's castle, the road goes to Kjugekull. The parking lot is deserted. Going the road up to Hembygdsgården. A map shows different trails to walk. We choose the blue that goes among the huge boulders. Popular with practitioners of bouldering. On the blocks are marks of their choice of climbing. Long ago Kjugekull was an island where the rocks went up in the day. The ice sheet has helped to move rock blocks. A man engages in climbing. Has large mattresses to land softly. The path winds its way between the rocks in the forest. Trying me to climb. Completely impossible. Imaginative trees hugging the boulders. "Giant pots" stands on a sign. Going to where it points. Comes out on a flat rock with round pits in. The pits are 70 million years old, when the rock lay under water and when stones dug out the pits. Nice place for lunch.

Comes out on pasture. The blue path connects to the red, which we continue on. Passing a hill, a wooden staircase leads up. Maybe a burial mound or ancient castle? Several interpretations. The view is vast in all directions. Below are Cowslip on the go. Follows the path past the Karl XV dance place. Did he dance here on the rocks? Passes a sign showing that once the coastline was here. On the late slope there are Pasqueflower and Cowslip. Not many flowers. Over pasture, through pine grove. Take a trip up a cliff with a view. The path continues over pasture, following a stone wall into beech forest down to the beach. Full of Liverleaf .

We walk on the field above the tree curtain on the slope towards the water. Turn to the pasture. The path goes straight through a stone circle, at the height is another one. A split giant boulder, amazing. Opposite is a smooth rock. Some sit there and seem to enjoy. The path winds its way. We depart for a slope to the lookout point and the path to the Hembygdsgården. Have met 2 x 2 people during the walk.

We have booked a room with dinner at Bäckaskog Castle. Cod back and a glass of sauvignon blanc from New Zealand. Good.
