Bäckaskogs castle is located on the strip of land between Oppmannasjön and Ivösjön. Laid out in the 1200s as premonstraten monestarry. Royal summertime in the 1800s. Today tourist destination, conferences, hotel.

Small family reunion. Meet in the parking lot. First coffee and cake in the cafe. Then, guided tour, first through the palace wing. The oldest walls of the castle dates from the time as premonstraten monestary in the 1200s. Parade floor is elegant. Charles XV spent many summers here. In his bedroom there is a staircase for the girls who visited his bed. Many children was the result.

The castle church dates from the 1280s. Used today for wedding and baptism. In the wing opposite are the remains of the kitchen. The is bulge in the floor. Someone who is buried there?

Beer is delivered to the restaurant. The beer is Klackabacken brewery. Klackabacken is a hill west of the Vä. The site includes the fortifications that were built in 1678 during the Skåne war. Learn more from my walk on Klackabacken.

Out to the garden. Adorned with large women's shoes. Passing vapensmedens house and Karl XV shelter, B & Bs and hotels, to the swimming area in Oppmannasjön. Will not bath. Back along the wall to the remains of an orangery. Here, women's shoes as well. In the niches are torso and head.

Klackabacken beer is not on the systembolaget in Lund. Discovers that a restuarang in the market hall serving it. One autumn day we have lunch there with beer.
