The mill was built at the end of the 18th century in Hatteboda in Småland.
It was moved in the 1830s to its current location here
just north of the isthmus between the Ringsjöarna south of Höör.
It was considered to be in the middle of Skåne,
but that place has been taken over by another mill site, Brännemölla in Höör.
The mill is a stump mill, i.e. the whole mill house is turned to catch the wind.
On the road next to the mill is a parking pocket.
The mill is managed by Kulturen in Lund. On our visit,
the wings are missing.
At Brännemölla, there is a work of art that marks Scania's center
Mittelen.
