light portrayals at Lundagård November 28, 2010 until 9 January 2011. 30 Nov 2010: thirtieth November is often fussy in Lund, the "hero" king Karl XII (dead 1718) celebration and counter-demonstrators. Seems quiet this evening. Bikes down to Lundagård, the site of this year's light installation, Spektrum, by the students at Lund art/design school at the People's University (Folkuniversitetet). Illuminum, trees are lit and casts shadows, reflections. Intention is to distribute heat to the eye and body. May be needed in the cold, but warmer I do not get. Tegner sculpture is coldly lit. Candles lit, extinguished, and voices are heard in different languages. Adjacent is a tent, probably not part of the installation, wonder to what. In front of Kungshuset meet moving cold light and still warm light in Contrast. Over the path past the Museum of History hang stripes of light, a downpour. Also the light tree outside the AF Castle is lit. From the roof of the cathedral hangs long pointy icicles, for real. Bicycles home, minus ten degrees Celsius and strong wind. COLD. Reads the next day in the newspaper that the tent was for the municipal arrangements Lund lights, with a variety of performances in the city. Just that they did not advertise it, so nobody knew about it.
