Takes the train to Nørreport.
From there it is a short walk along Nørre Voldgade
to the entrance to the botanical garden.
At the entrance is a small shop and a lawn with sunbathing.
In the center is a pond. Walk along the pond to the stone lot.
Very nice. Many who stroll around.
Continue to the Butterfly and Palm House.
We do net enter, walk back towards the pond and bridge over
to the Geological Museum.
In the museum is a temporary exhibition "Fashioned from Nature".
A journey during 400 years of fashion history with inspiration
and materials from nature.
The ticket also includes admission to the Butterfly and Palm House.
But first lunch.
From the museum across Øster Voldgade to the Kongens Have
with Rosenborg Castle. We walk on the outskirts along with discounts,
large grass areas and avenues. Popular excursion destination,
we are interested in lunch at the restaurant in the
conservatory in the eastern part towards Kronprinsessegade.
It is so popular that it is full. Where now? End up at &Tradition
at Kronprinsessegade 4. &Tradition is a design company for furniture
and lighting. Here they have showrooms and &Tradition courtyard café.
Eat their three kinds of herring. Good but slightly expensive.
Toilet visits show that it is a design company.
Returns through the Kongens Have past Rosenborg Castle.
The castle from the 17th century is today a museum.
We settle for coffee and rhubarb pie in the café next door,
Garden café, towards Øster Voldgade.
Return to the botanical garden.
Pass planting with different types of hops for beer production,
"The Nordic Beer Garden", a temporary part of the garden.
On to the butterfly house.
First, walk past the cacti before you can enter the butterflies.
Quantities of different species flying around freely.
Many beautiful. Have to go out again to get up to the palm house,
from the terrace you have an overview of the garden.
In there moist and large palm trees.
Soon closing for the day and time to take the train home.
