Barsebäckshamn is a small village on the coast of Öresund west of Kävlinge, with a fishing and boat harbor. North of the harbor is a nice little popular bathing area.

20 September 2009: It is a warm and beautiful day. Drive to Barsebäckshamn for probably the last bath for the season. Winterbather I'm not. There are not many who bath this nice autumn day either. I am quite alone on the pier. It's probably 17 degrees in the water, and it's a refreshing swim. Two men come out of the sauna building, they bathe naked. Disappears in again. Few persons are walking out on the pier and dipping themselves. The gentlemen come out and swim again, this time with the swimwear. Receive a text message: HIF - Perstorp 5-1. Now we are second and on a qualifying place! Happy do I stroll from the pier and along the seaside promenade before I drive home.

8 August 2009: Late afternoon. Feel for a bath, I drive to Barsebäckshamn. I put the car in the parking lot on the grass inside the village. The beach at the harbor is good, but better is to go to the jettys on the pier. At the outer one reaches the water to my neck. A sign warns one from the dive, it could be lower water levels and shallow. It is over 20 degrees in the water. We are not many in the water, a short time it is only me in the water. Stands for a moment on the pier and dry in the sun. A couple take a sun bath on a boat bridge. Children reconnoitre from the fort at the pier. I'm hungry. Go to Barsebäcks port cafe. Ordering fried herring with mashed potatoes, melted butter and lingonberry jam. Four wasps convinces me that the lingonberry jam is to them. I stroll along the promenade to the north before I go home. Gillhög is a passage tomb between Barsebäckshamn and Löddeköpinge. From it is a nice view to the north. An acquaintance has here taken a beautiful picture of clouds and rape fields. I have never managed to take such a picture, I take a twilight picture which I hope will be fairly good.

1 August 2009: A quick trip to Barsebäckshamn for a bath. It is quite deserted at the pier. It can be crowded but most have probably gone home, it's late afternoon. Children is exploring the sea life. In the port basin two boys sail dinghy.
