Hästveda church is known for its frescoes and a stone with runic inscriptions.
The church was built at the end of the 12th century,
as a Romanesque country church.
In the armory there is a runic stone
placed against the wall. It was once the gable of a stone coffin
from the 13th century.
What you notice when you enter the church are the frescoes on the ceiling.
The paintings in the apse are from the 13th century,
the other paintings are from the end of the 15th century
by "Everlövsmästaren". Of course with biblical motifs.
The granite baptismal font is also from the beginning of the 13th century.
On the pulpit from around 1600, the Gospels can be seen.
The railing on the organ stand is from the 18th century.
After the armory there is an altarpiece from 1774 on the north wall.
Take a walk around the cemetery.
There are some old tombstones by the cemetery wall.

After the visit to the church we drive to the square in Broby.
Lunch at Broby inn and coffee with waffle
at Brännborns. A short visit to Broby church, boring compared to
Hästveda church.
