Pictures from Skåne - Sweden - Historical museum
30/12 2009: The Historical Museum in Lund is at Kraft's torg behind the cathedral. If you stand at the Statue of nothingness ("Intighet") one have the Museum in the north. The Cathedral Museum is linked with a crossing over a street. I'm early, make first a brief visit to the cathedral, where winter light is pouring in through the windows. The astronomical clock is away for renovation. At the entrance to the historical museum is advertisement for the exhibition Barbaricum - about the Uppåkra findings and Iron Age of Skåne. In Uppåkra has in recent years been archaeological surveys, during the Iron Age it was a major seat. Buy the book. A host of interesting items are displayed, especially I like one of the beautiful birds. Continues throughout the museum. Coin Cabinet includes the findings in Norrra Nöbbelöv a few years ago. Religious art, curio cabinet and more. From the transition to the Cathedral Museum is a view of Kraft's torg and the cathedral. In a display case is lost/hidden objects, notes for the memory, poems, etc. They were found in the cathedral choir when stalls were moved. The historical museum is a museum you should visit, small but significant. It is lunchtime. Goes into the Café Ariman. Chicken pie and a beer, Jever. The cafe has kept its character of left wing. Among the papers is the socialist paper Flamman. |
